There's really no reason for players to cheat Valheim - not when the cheat console is so easy to access. But not everyone wants to take the steps to start cheating, or maybe you want to copy all your wood for a big project you wouldn't (normally) need. There are plenty of reasons to dupe, and if you've got a friend willing to help out, there's a new method that makes duplicating even faster and easier than usual.
By working with a friend online, you can trick items once per minute. All you need is a full inventory and a chest full of stuff you want to trick. It won't hurt anyone either – Valheim is a purely cooperative game, so it's up to you how you want to play. If you want to cheat, cheat. If you want to fool… there is a new, very quick method explained below.

New item duplication method
This new method of duplicating is done online – two players must work together and exchange items with very precise timing. Guest and host should work together and interact at exactly the same time. need a mic if you plan to try this.

- This method requires two players in line.
- Place the items you want to duplicate in a Chest/Cart.
- The guest (not the host) must open the chest and select “Take All”.
- The host must then close the server at (almost) exactly the same time. You have to close it within a second after the guest takes all the loot.
Why does it work? This duplication method works because of the way server and guest data is saved. Host world data is saved through the server, while guest data is saved locally. If you quit quickly enough, the server data can't catch up, while the guest server save contains everything the player took - the duplicate.
Using this method you can copy tons of stuff and you can just repeat it every minute. It's not that anyone really needs to cheat – you can just cheat the console. There is nothing to stop you! It's just fun to find little dupes like this sometimes.
