Uncharted 4 was a smash hit for Naughty Dog, selling over 2,7 million units in the first seven days of release and grossing $56 million in digital sales in the first three weeks. Games have been eagerly awaiting the chance to return to Nathan Drake's place, but with current-gen consoles here and PCs getting more powerful by the day, it's time for an upgrade. Fortunately, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves (containing both Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy expansion) has just been rated by the Australian Classification Board for PC and PlayStation 5. What does this mean? Well, that probably means a release date is on the horizon. Thinking back to previous discrepancies between rating and release date announcements, the title could be here as early as February 2022.
While no specific details are known about the PC port of Uncharted 4, Days Gone introduced a number of new features when it made the PC debut, including support for ultra-wide monitors, graphics enhanced and unlocked frame rate. Lately, PlayStation has committed to bringing several of its beloved properties to PC, likely spurred on by the incredible response to the highly anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn Port.
Upon release, Uncharted 4 received rave reviews complimenting the title's gameplay, emotional depth, storytelling, visuals, and multiplayer capabilities. The game was nominated for eight awards at The Game Awards 2022 and won Best Story and Best Performance for Nolan North. It's the best-selling Uncharted game to date.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves will be coming to PlayStation 5 and PC in the future, although an exact release date is unknown. It is expected in early 2022. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was originally released in 2022 for PlayStation 4. The standalone Lost Legacy expansion was released in 2022. Uncharted, a film based on the series of games starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, is set to hit theaters on February 18, 2022.
