Season 2 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War releases today and includes the new Outbreak game mode for Zombies. The new mode places Requiem Agents in a huge open environment with even more zombies and tasks to complete. These are the narrow corridors you're used to – you'll have to run and fight entire hordes in the Ural Mountains of Russia.
It's a very different type of survival map, and to help you survive, Season 2 also includes new tiers of perks specifically related to Undead. To unlock these powerful new upgrades, you'll need special drops – you could already collect Etherium Crystals in Walking Dead, but now you'll need the Rare Items. How to Get Refined and Flawless Etherium
Etherium is a special upgrade material that you will earn by completing towers in any Zombies game mode. Etherium Crystals are used to unlock upgrades for your Perks – and to get level 4/5 upgrades you will need Refined/Perfect Etherium.
Refined/Perfect Etherium drops on high towers in any Zombies mode. You'll earn it just for surviving long enough.
- Refined Etherium: +1 in Round 15. Gain +1 in Round 15/20/25. Gain +2 in Round 35/40.
- Flawless Etherium: +1 in Round 30. Gain +1 in Round 30/35/40.
Basically, to get enough Etherium, you have to play zombies and survive for the most rounds. If you can reach 50 Day, you will get the required 5 ~ Flawless Aetherium for all Tier V perk upgrades.
