Friday the 13th: The Game
  • Developer: IllFonic
  • Publisher: Gun Media
  • Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
  • Released: May 26, 2022

Friday the 13th: The game can accommodate up to eight players, seven of whom are camp facilitators and one will take on the role of Jason Voorhees. There are two end goals of the game, players will work together to defeat Jason while the main enemy player will seek out and slaughter the camp's hidden advisors.

Intended for players to use their in-game microphones to communicate, Camp Leaders can only hear each other when nearby or using a walkie-talkie. This system helps to add suspense, especially with Jason able to move quickly around the map and add suspense throughout the match. Unfortunately, the game has run into some legal issues and it's really unclear at this point if the game will continue to thrive. As of now, the original creator behind the character has won the battle. As the original development team walked away from the project, Black Tower Studios stepped up maintenance on the title.

Even though this game does not offer new content in the future, players can still enjoy a lot of fun whether playing with friends or other players around the world. Of course, we hope that new content will be offered for the title and we hope that intellectual property owners can reach a mutually beneficial agreement with the original creator, Victor Miller.
