Beast Gang should be a game you'll probably recognize fairly easily at this point. It's quite a fun title as it throws players into humanoid characters that will wobble as players attempt to knock out opposing players. With a variety of levels filled with dangerous obstacles, the goal of this title is to force other players to die.
This could be knocking a character out and dragging their body off a ledge or into a fire pit. Meanwhile, players can mash buttons and attempt to wake up their fighters in hopes of breaking free from their attacker and delivering their brutal blows. It's a delirious game that is made to be enjoyed with multiple players. However, if you were hoping to dive into the game with friends on other platforms, you were probably expecting a cross-play announcement.
Well, we have good news and bad news on that front. Gang of Beasts is getting a crossplay that was unveiled last week through the official Gang of Beasts Twitter account. The developers have confirmed that Beast Gang will be available for the Xbox Game Pass subscription service while supporting cross-play between PC and Xbox consoles. While fans would be interested in PlayStation 4 support, the developers have said they would like to bring cross-play to PlayStation 4, but that's not possible at this time.
It's not the only game lately being overlooked for PlayStation 4 cross-play support, as we recently found out that Frontiers 3 isn't going to be featured for the Sony console platform. Right now, it seems like more and more developers are finding it a bit too difficult to tick all the boxes for the game to be cross-play compatible. Perhaps more developers avoiding the PlayStation line of consoles when it comes to cross-play will influence Sony making some changes.
